Hayden sixth-grader Tate Montieth holds up an instrument to measure wind speed Thursday at the base of the Thunderhead Express lift at Steamboat Ski Area. Tate was one of 15 students from Robin Bush's class who spent the day taking measurements and learning about weather with Storm Peak scientists.
