Jason Ruemelin tries to toss in a short putt Thursday afternoon at the Thunderhead Disc Golf course at the Steamboat Ski Area. The course was established as the only 18-hole basketed course in Routt County last year, but it won't return next summer, as the area it's laid out on will be managed to get rid of unsafe beetle-kill trees.
