Alex Gibbs returns a volley during Steamboat's 6-0, 6-3 victory against Colorado Springs Christian in the opening round of the state 4A high school tennis championships at Pueblo City Park Thursday. Gibbs and his No. 1 doubles team partner Charlie Smith won two matches on the opening day earning a shot at Friday semifinal round.
