The 17-year-old home school student received the award for personal achievement through volunteer work, physical fitness, personal development and public service, among others. Laura Tyler, left, is Osborn’s adviser and helped motivate Osborn to achieve the accomplishment.


The Bear Valley Inn of Craig has had no vacancies since April because of an influx of energy workers to the valley. The motel will also be full of hunters in the fall, displacing the energy workers for a couple of months, an issue facing many motel owners in town.

Forecasters said a cold front will make its way through the area, but warn that residents of the valley shouldn’t expect any big changes.
