A powerful KMAX twin rotor helicopter was brought in to deliver concrete for several tower foundations for the new Christie Peak Express chairlift Monday morning. The project is part of $16 million in on-mountain improvements planned for the 2007-08 season. It took the helicopter roughly 2 1/2 hours to move more than 70 yards of concrete used to form five footers. The helicopter will be back later this summer or early in the fall to install the lift towers.
