John F. Russell, photographer for the Steamboat Pilot & Today, won a second-place award at the Colorado Associated Press Editors and Reporters Awards banquet Friday in the Feature Photo category for “Pronghorn,” a photo of pronghorn antelope. The Pilot & Today staff won 20 honors at the banquet.
Steamboat resident Tammy Lake, carrying her 2-year-old son Michael, heads up a snowshoe trail off Fairview Drive last week. The Bureau of Land Management formally closed on a more than 4,100-acre Emerald Mountain parcel Thursday.
