Work on the new Routt County Justice Center is on budget and on track for completion in September, Routt County Commissioner Doug Monger said Monday. A report about impacts to adjacent wetlands should be completed within a month. County building and plant director Tim Winter said staff from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will likely visit the site this summer to assess those impacts.

Billy Fink was one of the first golfers to get on the driving range at the Haymaker Golf Course on Monday afternoon. The range is now open to the public, and head professional Hank Franks says he expects the rest of the course to be open to the public next Tuesday.

A barn and silo are reflected in the waters on a pond just off of U.S. Highway 40 on Monday morning near Steamboat Springs. The normally calm waters of the pond were disturbed by a swimming beaver.
