Sunday, the last day of the season at the ski area, is traditionally a festive occasion in Steamboat. This year, closing day festivities feature a free concert by the Young Dubliners.
Tim Higbee, 21, of Steamboat Springs led the Manitoba Major Junior Hockey League in goaltending this year. Higbee’s Charleswood Hawks are in the midst of the league championship series. Higbee hopes to play at a Division III school in the Midwest next season.
