The 2006 Kiwanis holiday ornament depicts a cowboy atop the famous bucking horse General Pershing during a rodeo in Mount Harris in the early 1920s. This holiday season marks the 25th year the Kiwanis members have been selling ornaments to support their programs for youth and senior citizens.

Last Wednesday’s Scholarship Day at the Steamboat Ski Area raised almost $47,000 for the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club. The Steamboat Ski Area donated proceeds from opening day’s $15 lift tickets to the local youth sports organization.
