Steamboat Springs resident Tari Youngstrom passed away peacefully in Fort Collins on Dec. 26, 2008. She was 53. A memorial service is at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Name Catholic Church. Tari was born Feb. 21, 1955, in St. Paul, Minn, to Casey and Gerald Youngstrom.
She loved the mountains, and her passion for skiing brought her to Steamboat Springs in the late 1970s. She lived in Steamboat ever since, except for a two-year stint back in Minnesota.
Tari also enjoyed hiking and biking. She was a pet sitter, and she loved to cook. She loved everybody, and everybody loved her. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her mother, Casey Youngstrom, of Georgetown, Texas; sister, Carole Oslovar and her husband, Rick, of Round Rock, Texas; brother, Stephen Youngstrom and his wife, Terri, of Dallas; nephews Tony and Nick Oslovar and Matthew Youngstrom; aunt, Ellen Casey, of St. Paul, Minn.; great-aunt, Lorraine Woog; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Youngstrom, who passed away in October 2008.
