• Teen Battle of the Bands

  Why you should go: Band genres include classic rock, ska, hardcore metal, hardcore punk and “other.” Watch local young musicians vie for this year’s title.

• Missed the Boat, bluegrass, folk and rock

  Why you should go: With original songwriting and a well-versed lineup of musicians, Missed the Boat is the town’s latest addition to locally grown folk and Americana music.

• Too Slim and the Taildraggers, country

  Why you should go: During the past six months, Too Slim’s “The Fortune Teller” has charted in the top 10 on the Billboard blues chart — without retail distribution. The Spokane, Wash., blues rocker comes to Routt County as part of an extensive tour of the West.

• Steamboat Springs Orchestra season finale concert, featuring works by Mozart, Mendelssohn and a piece by SSO Music Director Ernest Richardson
