Best of the Web: Song Mountain proposal

Just what we need, another bunch of houses on the market that will probably be unsold for a long time ... I will restate a very valid point: Where will all these new occupants work? Will we next have proposals for a huge industrial area to provide the needed jobs?

I, for one, am not very excited about the city's plans to add curb bump-outs. Have you ever tried to turn right from a side street on to main street? Should be next to impossible with these bump-outs. ... We are a cow town ... like it or not. We still pull horse trailers. What about camp trailers ... semis ... and other similar vehicles. What about the snow plow drivers?

flusteredal, that's exactly what I was thinking when they proposed to put those in. They are going to get destroyed. I wonder if the person planning this was also in charge of the elevated pasty crosswalks that were half gone after the first snowplow hit 'em.

These impediments are installed to facilitate bus stops, the rest of the vehicles will no longer be needed under this new world order.
