Routt County nonprofit uses state grant funds to assist owners
Seven properties were added in 2007 and 2008 to the Routt County Register of Historic Places. Crossan's M & A Market and the Yampa-Egeria Museum in Yampa; the Mission Building-Pool Hall, Elkhead Schoolhouse and HiWay Bar and Grill in Hayden; and the Remington House and Humble Ranch in Steamboat Springs all made the honorary list.

Nonprofit group to use funds for planning, training
Integrated Community will get $20,000 throughout the next couple of years for hard-to-fund development. The nonprofit group works to strengthen relationships between immigrants and neighbors in Routt and Moffat counties.

Steamboat Springs officials will chop more out of the city budget after another sales tax loss. January sales tax collections decreased 13.5 percent compared with January 2008, according to a report released Thursday. The city had budgeted for a 4 percent decrease in 2009 compared with 2008.

Hayden girls enter regional on 2-game skid
The Hayden High School girls and boys basketball teams head to Westminster on Friday for regional tournament action. Each team is looking to rebound from disappointing results in last weekend's district tournaments in Meeker.
