Steamboat Springs officials will chop more out of the city budget after another sales tax loss. January sales tax collections decreased 13.5 percent compared with January 2008, according to a report released Thursday. The city had budgeted for a 4 percent decrease in 2009 compared with 2008.

Hayden girls enter regional on 2-game skid
The Hayden High School girls and boys basketball teams head to Westminster on Friday for regional tournament action. Each team is looking to rebound from disappointing results in last weekend's district tournaments in Meeker.
