The last time a Routt County sports team saw competitive play, the Hayden girls basketball team was cruising to an undefeated pre-holiday record, the Steamboat Springs hockey team lost its first game, and teams from Wyoming weren’t so kind to the Hayden and Steamboat boys basketball teams.
But after more than two and a half weeks without game action, all three area schools resume play this week. Through the break, some teams held player-run practices, some held open gyms and some had volunteer coaches run workouts.
With official practices under way since Jan. 2 and games resuming Friday, here is a look at where each school begins play.
