Steamboat Springs — "Art Unleashed," a gala fundraiser to benefit the Routt County Humane Society, is from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Steamboat Springs Community Center. The event includes a live auction of the Artful Labs - sculptures displayed downtown this summer - food, beverages and a silent auction. The cost is $20 per person. Monday is the deadline for applications for grants from The Yampa Valley Community Foundation Community Grant Fund and the Steamboat Ski and Resort Corp. Recreation Grant Fund. Community grants are available for any nonprofit activity in Routt or Moffat counties that falls within the areas of environment, education, health and human services, recreation or art and culture. The Ski Corp. Recreation Fund serves above-ground recreation projects in Routt County. Grant applications are available at www.yvcf.org. Recipients will be announced in December.
