Marabou announces 38th homestead sale

— The developers of Marabou ranch preservation subdivision have announced the sale of their 38th homestead, lot F-8, for $3.1 million.

Beth Bishop, of Prudential Steamboat Realty, brought the buyers, Jim and Cynthia DeFrancia, of Aspen. They have begun design of a new home with architect Bob Fitzgerald, who designed the amenity buildings at Marabou.

Jim DeFrancia is a principal of a national development firm, Lowe Enterprises, with offices in Denver, Phoenix, Los Angeles and San Francisco, among other cities.

Among many office buildings, industrial and commercial buildings in its portfolio, Lowe owns or is a partner in glamorous properties, such as the Royal Palms Resort & Spa in Phoenix and The Reserve in Indian Wells and Palm Desert, Calif.

Real Estate Roundup to be held Wednesday

Colorado Group Realty will host a panel of real estate lenders during its second Real Estate Roundup and Expo from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the ballroom of the Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel.

More than 525 people turned out for the inaugural roundup and expo in 2007.

This year’s lending panel will be moderated by Colorado Group broker/owner Shelley Stanford. The panelists include Paul Clavadetscher, of Millennium Bank; Tom Ernst, of Catamount Mortgage; Jeffrey White, of Wells Fargo Bank; and Dean Vogelaar, of Mountain Valley Bank.

“We’re excited about the panel discussion, which has been designed to give people straight answers about what is going on in the mortgage and banking industries,” Stanford said.

The expo portion of the event will run from 4 to 5:30 p.m. and give attendees an opportunity to meet with more than 30 local architects, builders, lenders, developers, title companies and more.

“As the Steamboat Springs real estate market has changed significantly in the past year, we feel this is a great way to keep the community informed about our ever changing market,” Colorado Group broker/owner Annamarie Shunny said.
