Bad bulls take out their frustrations on good cowboys every Friday and Saturday night through Aug. 16 during the Steamboat Springs Pro Rodeo Series at Howelsen Hill in downtown Steamboat. Adult admission is $14, children's admission is $7, and children 6 and younger get in free. Don't bother to polish your boots. All rodeos start at 7:30 p.m.

July 15: Strings Music Festival youth concert with Trout Fishing in America. Grammy nominees Keith Grimwood and Ezra Idlet play folk/pop with diverse influences. Tickets cost $10 at the box office. Suggested attire: chest waders and khaki vests with lots of little pockets.
July 18: Strings Music Festival concert: Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy kick out the Celtic jams with feverish fiddling around. Tickets cost $55.
July 19: Strings Music Festival concert: An evening with Chu-Fang Huang. Become mesmerized by a finalist in the 2005 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. Tickets are $35.
July 28: Strings Music Festival concert: Three works by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer George Crumb, known for his ambient and mystical compositions. Pianist Lambert Orkis, one of Crumb's greatest interpreters, will perform "Little Suite for Christmas," written expressly for Mr. Orkis. Tickets are $25.
Aug. 9: Strings Music Festival concert: The Full Ludwig. A night of Beethoven performed by the first 46-member orchestra to perform on the Strings stage, conducted by Andres Cardenes. The orchestra will perform "Consecration of the House," a tribute to the new pavilion. Yaron Kohlberg, Silver Medalist of the Cleveland International Piano Competition, will perform the Emperor Concerto. Tickets are $50.

Aug. 29 to Sept. 1: The fourth annual Wild West Air Fest is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Steamboat Springs Airport. Take the grandkids and some sunscreen for a day of flight simulators and airborne entertainment.

Steamboat Classic Car Cruise: Pedigreed autos that call the Yampa Valley home roll up and down Lincoln before taking over the courthouse lawn.
Sept. 20:
