Steamboat to Hayden stretch reopened

Officials have re-opened U.S. Highway 40 from Steamboat Springs to Craig. U.S. 40 remains closed from Steamboat Springs east to Kremmling, and the Eisenhower Tunnel on Interstate 70 also is closed to traffic.

Snowboarder remembered by family, friends

Jared Daniel died Friday at the Steamboat Ski Area

Speaking from their home in Auburn, Mass., Sunday, Stephen and Pamela Daniel remembered their son as an upbeat, kind student who was close with his friends and three brothers. He loved skiing, snowboarding and motorcycles and had come to Colorado for a weeklong ski trip with friends.

Storm could bring 12 inches or more to Steamboat

A strong Pacific storm could bring up to 12 inches of snow to Steamboat Springs by late tonight. The National Weather Service has issued a snow and blowing snow advisory for much of Northwest Colorado.
