After finishing third in Saturday's individual Gundersen competition, German Tino Edelmann was happy, but not satisfied. So he returned to Howelsen Hill for Sunday's sprint event and jumped 118 meters in the only jump that counted, and then erased a 20 second deficit in the 7.5-kilometer cross-country race to win the second and final event of the Mountain Resorts World Cup B.

Knitters sell scarves to fight breast cancer
Local knitters are selling pink scarves to raise money for the Yampa Valley Breast Cancer Awareness Project. The scarves are available at Epilogue Book Co. in downtown Steamboat. All proceeds from scarf sales will go the Breast Cancer Awareness Project. Special order requests can be accommodated, and any local knitters or crocheters interested in making additional scarves are encouraged to call Jo at 846-2627. Non-knitters are encouraged to make cash donations to help offset the cost of yarn, or purchase pink yarn themselves.
