Longtime Steamboat Springs resident Lorna Louise Larson Brown died Nov. 16, 2005, at the Doak Walker Care Center in Steamboat Springs. She was 88.

Bill Whittemore: Keep buses free

The Steamboat Pilot & Today (Sound Off Nov. 13) printed an opinion saying that the bus service should start charging $1 for every ride. I feel that the bus service should not charge all people to get on the bus. If Steamboat Springs Transit did charge anyone to ride the bus, many more people would drive cars. I also feel that fewer people would visit this resort town because of having to pay for their transportation.
